“World Class Spell!”- Twitter reacts as R Sai Kishore dazzles with double-wicket maiden to help Chepauk Super Gillies thrash Tiruppur Tamizhans by 60 runs in TNPL

Tamil Nadu Premier League: Chepauk Super Gillies’ R Sai Kishore thundered with the ball and his magical spell saw three maiden overs out of his four overs with the figures of 4/2 to help his team finish off the league stage in style. CSG defeated iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans by 60 runs at the Salem Cricket Foundation ground on Friday, July 22.
Chepauk were asked to bat first and at first, they lost some quick wickets before U. Sasidev slammed a much needed 45* with three fours and two sixes to help his side post 133/9. Aswin Crist was the bowler who picked up three wickets for the Tamizhans. S. Mohan Prasath scalped 2/19 while leg-spinner S. Manigandan too removed two batters. This made the Super Gillies struggling at 65/6 in the 12th over.
Tamizhans responded by a good start but Sai Kishore stuck twice in the fifth over. He scalped the wickets of S. Aravind and R. Rajkumar with a stunning double-wicket maiden. He was supported by left-arm spinner R. Alexander who sent back Maan Bafna and skipper S. Aniruda in the ninth over.
Sai Kishore even bowled 19 dot balls in the last three overs. In the penultimate over, he scalped the wickets of P. Francis Rokins and Aswin Crist to end their innings at just 73 runs. But, overall, Sai Kishore bowled 22 dot balls.
Also, pacer Sandeep Warrier picked up a hat-trick when when he dismissed Tushar Raheja and Suresh Kumar in the last two balls of the 12th over. After sending back Mohammed, he completed his hat-trick in the first ball of the 19th over.
With this victory, Chepauk Gillies have now glued their place in the Top 2 of the points table. They have achieved 10 points from seven matches.
