Sarfaraz Khan
Sarfaraz Khan has been phenomenal in Ranji Trophy. His scores in the last few innings will prove the same. He once again smashed a century for Mumbai against Delhi in Group B match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday (January 17).
Sarfaraz smashed 16 boundaries and four maximums to reach 125 from 155 balls, driving his team to 293. Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the 17-member squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which is scheduled to start on February 9. Sarfaraz, despite constantly scoring big runs in first-class cricket, couldn’t make it to the Indian Test side. The management cannot accommodate him in the squad.
Sarfaraz Khan’s century set Twitter ablaze as fans started slamming the BCCI for its ignorance of someone who has been in terrific form in red-ball cricket. Check their reactions below:

After the BCCI announced the squad for two Tests against Australia, Sarfaraz Khan told the TOI that he met the chairman of selectors Chetan Sharma who assured him that he’ll get a chance in the upcoming Test matches. He also revealed how he was hoping to get selected but was sad the whole day when his name didn’t appear on the squad list.
“I’m bound to fail in the odd match or two. It’s cricket, it happens. I’m not God. I can’t score in every match. And I’m very fit. I played in every match till the last. I run fast. Everyone has a different body structure, you can’t change it. I’ve cleared all the yo-yo tests in the past. Unless you clear the yo-yo test, you can’t play in the IPL,” Sarfaraz told TOI.
