IND vs PAK 2022: “Class is permanent”- Twitterati expresses happiness as Virat Kohli returns to FORM in big clash against Pakistan
Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is a big match player and we’ve witnessed this when India is clashing against rival Pakistan on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE. His prolonged rough patch ended with his 35-run knock.
Team India and Kohli himself was concerned whether he will suffer from poor form again while batting in the important game. But fans on Twitter would fail to remain calm, especially Kohli’s die-hard fans as his form finally returned.
It’s Kohli’s 100th T20, and this made him the second player after Ross Taylor in the history of cricket to play 100 matches across all formats.
After tthe wicket of KL Rahul, Kohli walked out to bat and scored 35 runs off 34 balls that included a six and three boundaries. But this didn’t last long and he became a victim of Mohammad Nawaz in the 9.1 over.
Nawaz tossed the ball up and Kohli shimmied down the pitch and looked to go over long off. But he didn’t get the desired distance and Iftikar Ahmed did no mistake in grabbing that easy catch.
It was also Nawaz’s second back to back wicket. On his previous ball, he dismissed India captain Rohit Sharma. But Nawaz couldn’t complete his hat-trick while facing the fourth batter Suryakumar Yadav.
At the time when the article is written, India has so far scored 89/3 in 15 overs. They’ll need 59 runs in 36 balls to chase Pakistan’s 148.
