Liam Livingstone’s compatriot Jonny Bairstow had already entertained fans and done the initial damage with his 66 off just 29 balls while opening for the Kings. However, after his wicket fans were eagerly waiting for Liam Livingstone and when he indeed came to the crease, it stole the show. This is his fourth half-century this season.

He slammed 70 off 42 with 5 fours and 4 sixes with a brilliant strike rate of 166.67 before Harshal Patel dismissed him in the penultimate over.

Harshal Patel bowled a full toss on the middle and Livingstone tried to spoon it behind wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik but failed to get the right connection. Karthik ran back to take a catch and dismissed the big fish.
