KL Rahul once again failed to impress and much to the annoyance of fans, it the same bowler, Naseem Shah who bowled him like the way he did in Asia Cup 2022. India’s condition condition is horrible right now in their 160-run chase on Sunday, October 23 at the MCG in Melbourne.
This happened on the last ball of the second over. Naseem bowled on good length on off-side. Rahul looked to play it with an open face of the bat. It went off the inside edge and hit the bullsye, giving a perfect start to Men in Green.

India have so far lost four wickets in 14.3 overs and scored 94 runs. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are playing on 37 off 35 balls and 31 off 24 balls runs respectively.
Despite a good start given by the Indian bowlers, they couldn’t restrict Babar Azam’s men on small score. As Babar had guessed during the toss that 160-170 run-target would be good at pitch, and so it is for far.
After Mohammad Rizwan and Babar’s dismissa, Shaan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed steadied the ship with their 52 runs (off 42 balls) and 51 runs (off 34 balls) respectively. Shaheen Shah Afridi then added a crucial 16 runs off eight balls in the last overs (Arshdeep Singh gave a lot of runs in the 19th over). In the end, they put on 159/8 in their 20 overs.
Pakistan bowlers, especially Haris Rauf gave a hard time to Indian top-orders. After Rahul’s wicket, Rauf dismissed Rohit Sharma on four runs. Rauf then sent back the dangerous Suryakumar Yadav who outside-edged Rauf’s short length ball only to give a good catch to Mohammad Rizwan.
