India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ruturaj Gaikwad has earned himself a reputation with his consistent performances. Although Gaikwad is yet to become a regular in the national setup, the 26-year-old has achieved a stature already. Gaikwad is touted to be MS Dhoni’s successor at CSK and the batter’s fan following is already on the rise.

While it is not surprising to see fans breaching security to get a glimpse or a close look at the likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, the visuals of three individuals invading the pitch to hug Gaikwad come as a surprise for many.

The incident took place during a match in the ongoing Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) where Gaikwad is leading the 4S Puneri Bappa. However, these fans were held back by security before they could reach Gaikwad.
