“Vijay Shankar supremacy,” Netizens laud Vijay Shankar for his match-winning knock against KKR

Gujarat Titans (GT) have found a match-winner in Vijay Shankar in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Tamil Nadu all-rounder has been in rollicking form this year as Shankar has amassed almost 200 runs (199 to be precise) in six matches he has played so far. Shankar has scored these runs at an average of 49.75 and at a strike rate of 165.83. The GT batter has scored two half-centuries in four matches, his most in IPL so far.

On Saturday, Shankar scored his second fifty in IPL 2023. The GT all-rounder hit an unbeaten 51 off just 24 balls and helped the defending champions thump Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets. Shankar was flawless in his knock as the batter hit two boundaries and five gigantic sixes.

While Shankar is a known assassin against the pace bowlers, him thrashing Varun Chakravarthy for three sixes in an over surprised the cricket fans. The other two sixes came against Nitish Rana. In fact, Shankar got to his half-century with a six. With Shankar demolishing opposition bowling attacks for fun, fans went berserk on Twitter, praising the GT all-rounder.
