Two pictures have gone viral once Virat Kohli bowed down to Suryakumar Yadav against Hong Kong in Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in UAE on Wednesday, August 31.
After Suryakumar Yadav played a quick knock of 68 runs off 26 balls that included six boundaries and six sixes, he was walking back towards the dressing room and in front of him was Kohli bowing down to him for the beastly knock Surya played.
Surya also stitched a 98-run partnership with Kohli while the latter had scored a slow but crucial 59-run knock off 44 balls. They both remained unbeaten to take India’s score to 192/2 in 20 overs. India defeated Hong Kong easily by 40 runs.
Now, the two pictures that are going viral are about how Kohli had once sledged Surya in the Indian Premier League, but now, even Kohli was amazed to see Surya’s knock and bowed down to him.
“Have never experienced anything like this. Was wondering why he wasn’t going to the dressing room. He was waiting for me. So then we walked back together. Batting with him was a lot of fun,” Suryakumar said after the match.
In an interview, Surya had revealed how Kohli how Kohli was staring at him during Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians’ match.
“I remember I was chewing gum and inside my heartbeat was racing knowing that he is walking at me. He isn’t saying anything, I wasn’t saying anything. I was saying to myself ‘no matter what happens, do not say a word. It’s a matter of 10 seconds. After this a new over will begin. This won’t last long’. So, the situation passed. I then saw him right after the match,” Suryakumar Yadav told actor and cricketer presentation Gaurav Kapur on his famous show Breakfast with Champions.
