Post the WTC Final, players finally got a much-awaited break. Virat Kohli is taking full advantage of that break as he decided to extend his stay in London ahead of the West Indies tour starting in July. The BCCI recently announced India’s squads for Tour of West Indies where Virat Kohli is set to feature in Tests and ODIs.

Kohli last took the field in the WTC Final against Australia where India were handed a 209-run defeat. After a long run of inspirational and motivational quotes on his Instagram stories after that, the cricketer shared a photo of himself in the London tube giving his fans a glimpse of his London vacation.

The next assignment for Virat Kohli awaits him in the form of the West Indies tour starting on July 12 where India are set to play 2 tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is. While India’s test squad has made people raise various questions with big names like Cheteshwar Pujara being dropped, fans will hope they can see Virat Kohli back in form across formats.

Players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mukesh Kumar have earned their maiden Test call-up for India indicating BCCI’s move to give new players the opportunity to express themselves. While a sword also hung around Kohli’s neck with several people demanding his sacking from the longest format, the former India captain has saved his place and will feature in both Test and ODIs.
