‘Absolute invasion of privacy’ – Virat Kohli fumes after leaked video of his hotel room goes viral

Fans love to know every small detail about their favorite cricketers, but in the process, they often forget to provide proper space and comfort. The masses sometimes cross lines to find out about an extended version of that person. Something similar happened to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli when someone entered his room in his absence and recorded a video of all his accessories and wardrobe.
Unsurprisingly, the exclusive clip went viral on the internet in no time. However, Virat Kohli found it offensive as he later took to Instagram to express his anger. He felt that it was an invasion of his privacy and he labeled the experience as ‘appalling’. He also asked people to respect an individual’s privacy and not treat them as an entertainment commodity.
“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy,” Kohli captioned.
“If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment,” he added.

South Africa were too hot to handle for Team India

Team India faced their first defeat of their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign as they lost to the Proteas by five wickets on Sunday. After winning the toss, captain Rohit Sharma elected to bat first, which didn’t turn out to be a wise decision. Lungi Ngidi ripped apart the Men in Blue’s top-order.
However, Suryakumar Yadav continued his golden run as he smashed a 68 off 40 to boost his side to a respectable total of 133. In reply, South Africa also faced an early threat from Indian pacers on the difficult batting surface. Arshdeep Singh picked up two wickets in his first over to make the chase difficult.
But Aiden Markram and David Miller showed resistance in the middle to avoid any further loss. Both batters scored the fifty-mark individually. In the end, South Africa won the contest with two balls to spare. With their win, they threw Pakistan out of the race for the semis.
