India’s batting stalwart Virat Kohli has had his issues with outside off-stump deliveries. While none can forget the horrors of the 2014 England tour where Kohli had been dismissed umpteenth time while chasing a wide delivery, the latest dismissal came during India’s practice match ahead of the first Test against the West Indies.

While fans are still recovering from Kohli’s dismissal in the second innings of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia where the batter got out chasing a delivery way outside the off-stump, the visual of the 34-year-old getting caught at slips against Jaydev Unadkat come as nothing but scary for the fans.

The batter was seen edging a short-of-length delivery from Unadkat straight into the hands of the slip fielder. Once again, Kohli’s feet did not move enough and the batter pushed at the ball instead of waiting for it to come to him. The catch was a proper dolly for the fielder who did not have to move even an inch to pouch the ball.

Notably, despite loud cries of dropping him, Virat Kohli was retained in the Test squad. Now, the 34-year-old will be seen in action against the West Indies. It will be interesting to see if Kohli repays the faith the selectors have shown in him or if he will give fans another chance to mock the veteran.
