India’s batting stalwart Virat Kohli received special treatment as the cricketer was sent back to India from West Indies in a special charter plane, arranged by Global Air. As India’s three-match ODI series against the West Indies ended on Tuesday with the visitors clinching it 2-1, the players of the ODI squad returned home.

Kohli who was also a part of the squad, even though he did not bat in any of the three matches, returned home. The rest of the players (there are not many as most of them have stayed for the five-match T20I series) will return to India via commercial flights.

It seems Virat Kohli was not given this special treatment, instead, he arranged this charter flight for himself and now, the pictures of the former India captain traveling in the charter flights have gone viral on social media. It is worth mentioning that Kohli also owns a private jet. Several users shared the picture on Twitter while also sharing their views about it. Most of them criticized the cricketer and accused him being a hypocrite.

While Virat Kohli fans got to see their favorite cricketer scoring his 76th International century during the second Test against the West Indies, they were disappointed to not see Kohli batting in ODIs. This wait will be further elongated as the 34-year-old will be next seen in action in September when the 2023 Asia Cup takes place.

Virat Kohli is a sure shot to make it to the squad for the continental showpiece event featuring six teams. India will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on 2nd September in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

All eyes will be on Kohli considering ODIs is his best format. The 34-year-old averages a massive 57.32 in 275 ODIs he has played. Kohli is also on the brink of achieving a few milestones.
