In the past few days, many reports claimed that Virat Kohli was set to be dropped from the 2024 T20 World Cup squad. Former selector, MSK Prasad, has backed Kohli to be included in the World Cup. Prasad claimed that Kohli was crucial and needed to stay as he is in form.

Kohli is crucial for India in the T20 World Cup. The selectors can't think that IPL is a place for him to prove his quality. He was never out of the team for his form. He missed India matches because of family reasons. He has been in form for a long time. He will make runs in this IPL as well.

Kohi will be playing his first match in nearly three months against the Chennai Super Kings on 22nd March. It is the first match of the 2024 IPL, with only 21 being scheduled so far.
