Recently, Indian cricket veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar revealed some humorous insights into the life of his teammate, the legendary Virat Kohli. Bhuvneshwar joked at the CEAT awards ceremony that Kohli might have been an excellent WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) wrestler if he hadn’t pursued cricket.
Kohli’s competitive spirit is evident on the cricket field and in the fictitious realm of WWE. Kohli’s skill with the bat is undeniable; he presently holds the record for the most centuries by a player across all formats with an impressive 76 tons. Furthermore, he is merely three centuries away from surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s ODI record of 49 centuries. “He would have been a wrestler if he was not a cricketer,” said Bhuvneshwar.
The year 2023 has been remarkable for Kohli, signaling an upturn in his form following a number of poor performances. He has scored 984 runs in 17 matches across all formats, with an average of 54.66, four centuries, and two fifties. Virat Kohli‘s aggressiveness on the field is noteworthy in addition to his batting abilities. The former India captain has been included in the 17-man squad for the upcoming Asia Cup, which was announced on Monday, August 21.

Virat Kohli thinks of himself as the best bowler in the team
Bhuvneshwar Kumar also stated that Kohli believes he is the finest bowler on the team and that his teammates fear for his safety whenever he bowls because of his unusual action. “Virat Kohli thinks he’s the best bowler in the team. We’re always scared when he bowls as he could get injured due to his bowling action,” Bhuvneshwar said.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is not a part of the 17-member 2023 Asia Cup squad. He last played a competitive match in November 2022, a T20I against New Zealand.
