Most players of Team India have arrived at the West Indies islands ahead of the India-West Indies all-format series. The two teams are set to play 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. All big guns from India are set to be in action after a long one-month break. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ishan Kishan were spotted playing volleyball at the beach.

Ishan Kishan was the cameraman for the day and shared glimpses from the players’ relaxing volleyball session including head coach Rahul Dravid. Players can be seen enjoying their time off ahead of the practice sessions and getting rid of that jet lag.

The BCCI shared a video of the players enjoying their time at the beach, and putting on a good show even at beach volleyball. Team India’s strength and conditioning coach said it was good for the management to allow two relaxing recreation days for the players to fight the jet lag and get back into the groove before hitting the nets.

India’s top players like Skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will walk on the field again soon. Players like Mukesh Kumar and Yashasvi Jaiswal have received their maiden Team India call-up and can be expected to find a place in the XI. While the announcement of the squad brought joy for some, it also meant Cheteshwar Pujara being dropped from the squad. However, nothing is official as to whether this elimination is permanent or temporary.

The series is set to begin on 12th July with the first Test match at Windsor Park Dominica at 7:30 pm IST. India are coming off a 209-run defeat against the mighty Aussies in the WTC Final and will look to get back to winning ways, especially with the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup scheduled for later this year.
