“Virat Kohli scoring a century will be a great tribute to Sourav Ganguly,” S Sreesanth makes interesting comment ahead of DC vs RCB match

Former India pacer S Sreesanth made an interesting comment ahead of an IPL 2023 match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Sreesanth said that former RCB captain Virat Kohli scoring a century will be a befitting tribute to Sourav Ganguly who is the Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals. Sreesanth’s comments came while he was previewing DC vs RCB for Star Sports.

Notably, Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly got awkward when the two teams met last time in IPL 2023. While the former RCB skipper was seen giving a stare to Ganguly while fielding on the boundary ropes, the two individuals did not shake hands after RCB beat DC. The video of the same went viral on social media and fans have been waiting for the two former India captains to cross paths once again.

Also, after Kohli’s on-field feud with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir, fans and experts are eager to see how he reacts in front of Ganguly. S Sreesanth also made these comments along the same lines. The former India pacer said that the RCB vs DC game will be one to watch out for a handful of reasons.

“This is going to be very exciting. DC playing RCB. No. 1 for me is captain vs captain,” Sreesanth said in a video by Star Sports on Twitter.

“Virat Kohli vs Warner. It is going to be a thriller to watch as DC just won a game and RCB is one the verge of taking to the best in the league. Point no. 2 for me is Nortje, the fastest bowler in the league this year. “Would love to see him running in hard and making the RCB batsmen dance to his tunes. I am looking forward to it,” Sreesanth further said.

While Sreesanth expected Anrich Nortje to trouble the RCB batters, much to his disappointment the South Africa pacer will be missing out on the game due to personal reasons. The franchise issued a statement o Saturday confirming Nrotje’s unavailability.

“Owing to a personal emergency, Delhi Capitals fast bowler Anrich Nortje had to leave for South Africa late on Friday night. He will be unavailable for this evening’s game against Royal Challengers Bangalore,” twitted DC.
