India batter Virat Kohli looked in good touch as he batted on Day 1 of the 2nd India vs West Indies Test. Coming out to bat at No.4 after Shubman Gill was dismissed, Kohli took time to get off the blocks, scoring his first run on the 20th ball he faced. However, once the 34-year-old got acclimatized to the conditions and the pitch, Kohli’s inning was up and running.
The batter not only hit some audacious shots but Kohli also ran hard between the wickets, which he is well-known for. The batter was also hailed by Ian Bishop who wanted young West Indies batters to take a leaf out of Kohli’s running between the wickets. Meanwhile, Kohli took a dig at the West Indies fielders.
The former India captain trolled the opposition fielders as he reminded them how he has been running fast between the wickets since 2012. “I have been stealing doubles since 2012,” Kohli was heard saying to West Indies keeper Joshua da Silva on the stump mic.
