“Do not come and play in the IPL”- Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar fume over David Warner for his sluggish knocks
Warner is the only one who is scoring runs for his team consistently, albeit, they are all slow innings. Fuming over Warner's knock, Sehwag even asked the Aussie to not play in the Indian Premier League.

Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, David Warner
Former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar have had enough of David Warner‘s sluggish knocks. On Saturday (April 8) when Delhi Capitals (DC)played against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Warner scored the most for his team, 65 runs, while chasing a huge 200-run target. But his 65 runs came off 55 balls, at a mere strike rate of 118.18.
The next batter to score the highest run for the Delhi Capitals was Lalit Yadav, who scored 38 runs from 24 balls at a strike rate of 158.33, including five boundaries. Delhi managed to reach just 142 for the loss of nine wickets and eventually lost the match by 57 runs.
Fuming over Warner’s knock, Sehwag even asked the Aussie to not play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). “I feel it is time that we tell him in English now so that Warner listens to it and feels hurt. David, if you are listening, please play well. Score 50 in 25 balls. Learn from (Yashasvi) Jaiswal, he hit his fifty in 25 balls. If you cannot do that, do not come and play in the IPL,” Sehwag did not mince his words while attacking Warner with his brutal remarks on Cricbuzz.
Sunil Gavaskar says if a young player played like David Warner, he wouldn’t be given many chances

Gavaskar said that it’s all right if a player is dismissed for eight off eight. But as Warner is the captain, and is also the fastest to reach 6000 IPL runs, these knocks aren’t expected from him.
“David Warner would have been retired hurt by Delhi Capitals if he was not their captain. If this was a young Indian Player, his tournament would have been over. It would have been his last match,” Gavaskar said on Cricbuzz.
Notably, so far Warner is the only one who is scoring runs for his team consistently, albeit, they are all slow innings. In Delhi’s previous match against Gujarat Titans, Warner scored 37 runs from 32 balls, while in the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Warner again slammed a half-century, 56, but it came off 48 balls.
