Despite being 42-years-old, former Indian captain MS Dhoni decided to participate in the IPL. Retiring from international cricket in 2019, the Indian legend continues playing the biggest franchise league in the world and even captained them to their 4th and 5th titles.

Now 42, MS Dhoni gave up his responsibility as Chennai Super Kings captain, handing it to Ruturaj Gaikwad. In the two matches he played so far, he has not had a chance to bat, but has impressed with his work behind the gloves. The highlight of his season so far came in his previous match against Gujarat Titans, where he took an incredible diving catch

While analyzing the match for Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag noted how catches win matches. He praised Ajinkya Rahane, Rachin Ravindra and Dhoni for taking catches, but he also called his former captain “buzurg” (old).

Virender Sehwag puts up special post on 16th anniversary of landmark innings

Virender Sehwag is often regarded as one of the best openers the Indian team has ever had, with his explosiveness often giving India great starts. In 104 Tests, the Indian legend scored 8586 runs with an average of 49.34.

In his illustrious career, the opener has played many iconic innings, but each fan would agree one of his greatest was the 319 against South Africa in 2008. After a poor run in 2006 and only one match played in 2007, the Indian star was close to losing his spot in the team to Dinesh Kartik

Finally returning to the team, scored an incredible 151 at the Adelaide Oval but scored his career best in the next match. He scored 319 at Chennai while trailing 540. The innings cemented his spot back. On the 16th anniversary of his 2nd triple century, the Indian legend posted a short tweet on his milestone.

Sehwag ended up playing 49 Tests more, before being dropped in 2013 for Shikhar Dhawan. In those 49 matches, the legend still averaged 49.23, scoring 9 centuries.
