Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis called Babar Azam and company weaker team in front of the Men in Blue. India recently surpassed Pakistan to become the No. 1 team in ICC ODI Rankings.

Younis talked about how Pakistan will be under a lot of pressure when they will be playing against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. According to Younis, Pakistan is a weaker team as compared to India but he also opined that India, being the home team playing in front of the home crowd will also feel the pressure.

As we all know, it (India vs Pakistan) will be the biggest game, mother of all the games. So, when you play in Ahmedabad, you will have to control your nerves, and not only Pakistan will be under pressure since it is a weaker team as compared to India. But India will also be under pressure because the crowd in the stadium will create pressure on both the teams,” Younis told Star Sports.

Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah suffered an injury during the 2023 Asia Cup match against India and will miss the entire ODI World Cup. The Men in Green will kick off their ODI World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Pakistan team arrived in India after seven years. Video of Indian fans wanting to see the players and waving at them has gone viral over the internet.

In one of the clips, Pakistani players were seen standing in line and the slogan ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ was heard. The video started doing rounds on the internet, however, it was a fake clip. Several websites did a fact-checking and found that the original video did not have any anti-Pakistani slogans.
