The T20 World Cup 2022 is underway, and a total of 28 matches are played so far. Today [Sunday, October 30], three matches are taking place. As Pakistan are squaring off against the Netherlands, former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer, who is known for his witty remarks and funny memes, shared a hilarious video on his official Twitter handle.

In the video, two people were sitting on a swing set, and avoiding the falling water. Jaffer is referring to India’s and Pakistan’s matches that have so far not washed out due to rain.

His caption read: “India and Pakistan avoiding rain this World Cup.” Watch the video below:

Rain threat looms on matches that played in Melbourne. But the India-Pakistan clash, which took place on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, continued smoothly. The matches that Pakistan and India have played so far, were not abandoned due to rain.

A total of four matches were abandoned due to rain- Zimbabwe versus South Africa, New Zealand versus Afghanistan, Afghanistan versus Ireland, and the most awaited Australia versus England. The Duckworth-Lewis-Stren method was used when the rain did not allow the play between Ireland and England.

Rohit Sharma-led India are so far sitting comfortably at the top with four points from two matches. Heroics from Virat Kohli, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya first guide the Men in Blue in a thrilling victory against arch-rivals Pakistan. Then in their second Super 12 match, they outshone the Netherlands courtesy of Kohli’s half-century.

Today, Bangladesh won a thriller against Zimbabwe, while Pakistan are looking to thrash the Netherlands in a must-win game. India will be locking horns against South Africa in the third match.

If Pakistan face defeat from the Netherlands, then their stint at the World Cup will end. They have to win their three remaining matches to gather six points. But this won’t help much, Zimbabwe’s and South Africa’s two defeats will ensure a clear path for the Babar Azam-led team to the semi-finals.
