The 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was an absolute nightmare for the bowlers as over 400 runs were scored on the day. Batters from both camps absolutely enjoyed batting on a flat Chinnaswamy wicket. While Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell were the scorers for RCB, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran destroyed the RCB bowling attack to give LSG a chance.

While Stoinis got out after scoring a 30-ball 65, Pooran scored 62 runs off just 19 balls. With Pooran and Stoinis Gone, it fell on the young shoulders of Ayush Badoni to finish things off. The young Delhi lad tried his best to do the job for his team but fell in a rather strange way. Badoni got out hit wicket while scooping Wayne Parnell.

As Parnell bowled a full delivery onto the stumps, Badoni went deep into his crease and scooped it. While he made a sweet connection and the ball flew over the fine leg boundary for a maximum, Badoni could not keep his bat away from the stumps and ended up getting out hit wicket.

LSG overcome all drama

Nicholas Pooran

Although Badoni could not finish it off for his team, LSG won the match despite all the drama in the last over. After Badoni got out, it was on Jaydev Unadkat and Mark Wood to propel the team over the line. However, Harshal Patel cleaned Wood and got Unadkat caught at long-on to push the game to the edge.

However, Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan showed great presence of mind to run quickly between the wickets and pull the game in their favour.
