On Monday (October 23), Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the hearts of the internet with his gesture toward Afghanistan senior player Mohammad Nabi. During Pakistan’s innings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Babar refused to let the former Afghanistan captain tie his shoelace out of respect.
Afghanistan and Pakistan have become fierce rivals in cricket but such sportsmanship on the field keeps winning the hearts of the fans. This happened during the tea break, Nabi approached the Pakistan skipper who asked him for help, to tie his lace but Babar instantly stopped from doing it and kept moving his shoe away. Later, Nabi gave a pat on Babar’s back and went away.

Babar Azam scored the second fifty of the ODI World Cup
After a series of average performances, Babar Azam finally played a decent knock in that match against Afghanistan. He made 74 runs from 92 balls with the help of four boundaries and a six.

The Pakistan skipper previously scored his fifty in the high-voltage encounter against India. But both times, his knock went in vain because Pakistan ended up losing the matches.
In the match against Afghanistan, Babar and his men posted 282/7 in 50 overs. Afghanistan slowly chased down the target to register their first victory over the Men in Green in the ODIs. Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran collected the Player of the Match after his 87 runs helped his team beat Pakistan by eight wickets.
