Pakistani batter Salman Agha became a victim of on-field injury because of his not wearing a helmet while playing spin against India. He missed injuring his eye just by an inch off Ravindra Jadeja‘s bowling on Monday (September 11) at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

This happened during the 22nd over. Agha was batting at three off six balls. Jadeja bowled to him outside off which Agha tried to sweep.

But unfortunately, right after bouncing off the pitch, the ball hit onto Agha’s face. And thankfully, it missed hitting his right eye. Blood started oozing out of the spot the ball hit and the medical staff came out running for first aid treatment. The match halted before a while. Right after the treatment, Agha continued batting but his stay at the crease did not last longer.

In the 24th over Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Salman Agha. On the last ball of the over, Agha tried for a sweep to play a bit flatter ball for Kuldeep. But the ball turned in and hit Agha on the pads. The Ball Tracking showed umpire’s call and so Agha had to depart.

Right after his dismissal, Kuldeep bagged two more wickets. First, he sent Shadab Khan to pack and an over later, Iftikhar Ahmed followed Shadab to the dugout.

The match has become heavily one-sided and one can foresee India’s victory by big runs. Pakistan have reached 121/7 in 31 overs. They still have 236 runs left to chase.
