WATCH: Brawl breaks out between fans at Arun Jaitley Stadium during DC vs SRH
A brawl broke out at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi that hogged the limelight more than a 'dull' match between the two teams.
DC vs SRH
During the match on Saturday between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), an incident, not related to the match went viral on Twitter. A brawl broke out at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi that hogged the limelight more than a ‘dull’ match between the two teams.
In the physical altercation, around five to six people, as social media fans termed it, were fighting like ‘WWE’ wrestlers. But the cause of the fight is still unknown.
Social media influencer Mufaddal Vohra tweeted the video of the incident with the caption: “A fight took place between fans in Delhi during their match against SRH.”

The match drew less attention as nothing much happened during the time. Fans’ focus shifted to the match and as known already, they started recording the chaos until two people came forward to intervene.

SRH won the match against DC
Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the back of Abhishek Sharma-67 and Heinrich Klaasen‘s unbeaten 53 off 27 put on 197/6 in their 20 overs. DC also gave a tough fight, with Phil Salt and Mitchell Marsh stitching a 112-run stand after opener David Warner’s (0 off two) departure.
Salt scored 59 off 35, while Marsh racked up 63 from 39 balls. But after their departure, Axar Patel tried to steer the team past the total but DC fell short of nine runs after they were restricted to 188/6 in their 20 overs.
Notably, both teams are having a hard time in this season. While SRH could win three of the eight matches they have played so far, DC are occupying the last position on the points table with two wins from eight matches. SRH will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday, while DC’s next clash is against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday.
