The hosts Australia were in a precarious situation during the Boxing Day Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) against Pakistan on Day 3 of the second Test match. On Day 2 of the match, a moment became a highlight of the match and even drew cheers from the fans in the stadium.

Pakistan were batting when the camera panned toward a section of the crowd. A couple could be seen cuddling and enjoying the match.

But the moment they appeared on the big screen, it caught them by surprise and the man started hiding his face with a towel he was holding before. The incident drew cheers from the MCG crowd and became an instant hit among cricket fans on social media.

Australia vs Pakistan match so far

At stumps on Day 3, Australia were reeling at 187/6 following a quick collapse in their second innings. Mitchell Marsh played a gritty innings but missed his century by four runs. On the back of Marsh’s 130-ball 96 and Steve Smith‘s 176-ball 50, Australia somehow steadied their ship.

Pakistan previously got bundled out for 264 runs while chasing Australia’s first innings total of 318. Aussie skipper Pat Cummins bagged his fifer, while Nathan Lyon got his four-wicket haul while dismantling the batting line-up of Shan Masood and Co.

Australia currently lead the three-match Test series 1-0 after winning the first Test at Perth by 360 runs. They are on the verge of another win, which eventually will help them win the series. Pakistan are yet to win a single match in Australia since 1995. After losing the first Test, they lost 15 consecutive Test matches against the same team Down Under.
