Rohit Sharma creates a new world record with innings against West Indies in the second Test

In the second Test, Rohit Sharma slammed a quick fifty off 35 balls during the fourth day of the second Test. With this fifty, he became the first batter in the history of Test cricket to score 30 consecutive double-digit scores.

Before him, Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene used to hold that record with 29 double-digit scores in Test cricket, followed by Len Hutton (25), Rohan Kanhai (25), and AB de Villiers (24). That fifty was also the fastest in Test career. Overall, it is the sixth fastest in Test history.

The second Test ended in a draw and Rohit Sharma and Co. won the series 1-0. The two teams will lock horns in the ODI series now.
