In the semi-final match of T20 Blast played between Hampshire and Somerset, there was a huge crowd at Edgbaston in Birmingham. One of the fans there took a chance to propose to his girlfriend and she gleefullly accepted. This brought huge cheers from the crowd.

The Somerset County Cricket Club shared the video and wrote: “And now we have a proposal in the Hollies. Only at Finals Day!” You can see the video below:

The first semi-final match was won by Lancashire against Yorkshire by six wickets. Yorkshire had scored a massive 204/7 on the board but failed to restrict Lancashire. They lost the match with eight balls to spare.

Dane Vilas and Keaton Jennings were the stars as they both scored half-centuries. Jennings scored 75 runs off 51 balls while Vilas smashed an unbeaten 63 runs off 36 balls.

Meanwhile, in the second semi-final, Hampshire defeated Somerset by 37 runs. Hampshire posted a huge 190/6 in their alloted 20 overs. Top order batsmen Ben McDermott scored 31 runs off 17 balls and skipper James Vince had scored 20 runs off 12 balls. Tom Prest played a knock of 64 runs off 46 balls that helped Hampshire post a challenging total. Joe Weatherly and Ross Whiteley also made crucial contribution. Weatherly scored 24 runs off 19 balls while Whiteley played a knock of 27 runs off 19 balls.

Hampshire managed to bundle out Somerset for 153 in 19.3 overs. Nathan Ellis picked up three wickets and conceded 30 runs. Chris Wood, Liam Dawson, James Fuller, and Brad Wheal picked one wicket each. Only Tom Lammonby scored 34 runs off 27 balls and he was also the only scorer to get past 30 for Somerset.
