Ahead of the Aisa Cup 2022 clash between India and Pakistan, the latter’s star bowler had a chat with Team India players including former India captain Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul during practice session at the ICC Cricket Academy on Thursday, August 25.

Shaheen told Kohli during the chat that he is wishing for him to find his form again. When Kohli was seen first checked up on the young pacer, the latter was heard saying: “Aapke lie dua kar rahe hain aap wapis form me aaye (We are praying that your form comes back)”. Both the players were all smiles while interacting. Both the players shook each other’s hands then.

Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out of Asia Cup but he is still a part of the squad

A lot of photos and videos have been shared on social media about these star players’ meeting and greeting. Previously, another video was doing rounds on social media. It was of Pakistan captain Babar Azam meeting Virat Kohli.

Notably, Kohli hasn’t scored an international century since November 2019. He couldn’t even able to play a half-century knock against England. He was given a month’s rest that made him miss the West Indies and Zimbabwe tour.

Shaheen has been ruled out of Asia Cup 2022 after sustaining a knee injury during the tour of Sri Lanka. However, he is a part of the squad and is in the UAE.

Asia Cup 2022 is just two days away (August 27) where Sri Lanka will lock-horns with Afghanistan. The next day will see the match of cricket’s two rival teams, India and Pakistan.
