On the field, Virat Kohli is known for his impressive performances, and off the field, his stylish lifestyle hogs the limelight. He is the most followed Indian on Instagram, and the third-most followed athlete on the Meta-owned platform after star footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Kohli endorses several fashion brands and has even launched his own clothing brands.

Kohli, now a style icon, used to feel he was the most stylish boy during his younger days. But now, the 34-year-old gets embarrassed after seeing his old photos clad in a bizarre combination of clothing. In a viral video, Kohli revealed his fashion sense in his early days to TV presenter Jatin Sapru.

Calling it a fashion sense is a very refined term. I had corduroy pants, and it was bell bottoms, boots with high heels, and a printed shirt with big embroidery on it and I used to think, kya lag raha hu main (I am looking great), I am the most stylish boy. When I see the pictures, my god it is such an embarrassment,” Kohli said.

To maintain fitness in his cricketing career, Virat Kohli follows a strict diet routine. His eating and training habits have always captured fans’ attention. He is even one of the few cricketers who haven’t picked up any major injuries, despite being an all-format player.

Though he is often asked about his diet and fitness regime, in that interview with Jatin Sapru, he again revealed what his food habits are currently. He disclosed that he doesn’t eat food with spices but would eat rajma because as a Punjabi, he can’t skip it.

90 percent of my food is all steamed, boiled. No masala. Salt and pepper, lime, that’s how I eat. I am not a big fanatic about the taste of food. Salads I enjoy with a bit of dressing. Pan-grilled good with a bit of olive oil or whatever. No curries, I only eat daal (lentils). I would rajma and lobhiya as a Punjabi can’t skip it,” Kohli said.
