Pakistani cricket got eliminated from the 2023 ODI World Cup prompting the fans and pundits to criticize Babar Azam and Co. The Men in Green ended up fifth on the points table with just four wins from nine matches.
The ex-cricketers from Pakistan have slammed the team and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) throughout the tournament, and it doesn’t seem to stop. Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq, however, sparked massive outrage on social media with a bizarre ‘Aishwarya Rai’ analogy.
Speaking at a recent event in the presence of Pakistan’s 2009 T20 World Cup winning players, Razzaq, while slamming PCB for their lack of intention, dragged Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. He said if he marries Aishwarya, that doesn’t mean they will have a beautiful kid. After the video was uploaded on the internet, it made rounds on social media and Razzaq faced the wrath of the fans for his remarks.
Right now, a lot of talk here is around the Pakistan team and the players' performances in the World Cup. I think we do not have the intention of polishing and developing the players.Razzaq said during a recent event.
He added:
If you think that I will get married to Aishwarya (Rai) and then have beautiful kids, then that can never happen. So you have to correct your intentions first.

Babar Azam arrives in Lahore and will meet the PCB chief this week
After the disappointing World Cup campaign, the Pakistan cricket team arrived in Lahore on Monday. There are speculations that skipper Babar Azam will be stripped of the captaincy.
Some reports say the Pakistan skipper will meet PCB chief Zaka Ashraf this week to decide on his future as an all-format captain. Babar took up the captaincy role in 2019 but under him, Pakistan are yet to lift a title despite leading the team to two Asia Cups, two T20 World Cups, and the 2023 ODI World Cup.
