Ahead of the match against Zimbabwe, Pakistan Cricket Board shared a couple of images of their players’ training session. A Zimbabwean fan named Ngugi Chasura dropped a couple of replies. At first, he wrote: “As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you…you once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan ..we still settle the matter tommorow just pray the rains will save you…#ZIMVSPAK.

Another Pakistani user asked Chasura what the matter is, and the latter replied: “They gave us Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean in one of our local events called Agricultural show”. He then went on to share images of the fake Pak Mr Bean and wrote: “This is …Pak Bean who imitates Mr Bean stealing people’s money.”

The fake Pak Mr Bean is a Pakistani comedian Asif Muhammad who is Rowan Atkinson’s Mr Bean. When the former went to Zimbabwe for a comedy show, he charged $10 but the show was a complete flop and that’s what the user Ngugi Chasura meant by stealing money.

After Zimbabwe’s defeat, even their President Emmerson Mnangagwa congratulated the team and mocked Pakistan in a humorous tweet. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif also gave a befitting reply to the president.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe posted 130/8 and defended the target in what was a thrilling encounter against Pakistan. As Pakistan lost their two openers, the middle order faltered and like their last-over drama against India, the Men in Green failed to score three runs off the last ball.

Now, Pakistan’s chances to remain in the race to the semi-finals are very less. Babar Azam-led Men in Green are heavily relying on other teams’ match results. Also, they’ll be praying for India’s win in Men in Blue’s remaining three matches. South Africa and Zimbabwe also have to lose at least two matches for Pakistan’s qualifications to the semi-finals.
