PLaying for Sussex in the Royal London One-Day Cup, right-handed bataman and captain Cheteshwar Pujara scored a fine ton against Warwickshire on Friday in a Group A clash at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
Warwickshire gave them 311 runs to chase with the help of Robert Yates‘ knock of 114 runs. Pujara walked out to bat when Sussex‘s score read 112/2 in the 22nd over. He smashed seven fours and two sixes to score 107 runs off just 79 balls.
In the 45th over when Liam Norwell was bowling, he even samshed 22 runs. In that over, Pujara hit 4,2,4,2,6,4 to score 22 runs.

In 48th over, Pujara then brought his ton before he was clean bowled in the 49th over off Hannon-Dalby. Alistair Orr also played a knock of 81 runs. But Pujara’s knock had gone in vain as Warwickshire won the match by four runs. Sussex are currently placed at the 6th position in Group A with four points from four matches.
