India captain Rohit Sharma‘s interaction with a fan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, August 28 has gone viral on Twitter. In the video, he could be heard promising to a fan that he’ll give his jersey to him after winning the final of the Asia Cup 2022.
India clinched the thrilling match by five wickets against Pakistan yesterday and perfectly avenged their 10-wicket defeat in the last year’s T20 World Cup. After the match, a delighted Rohit was leaving the stadium but but some fans. The fan asked for his jersey to which Rohit said that he’ll give after winning the tournament.

After the match, Rohit Sharma lauded Hardik Pandya for his heroic innings. Pandya had displayed an all-round performance, first, he picked up three wicktes and the scored an unbeaten 33 runs off just 17 balls. Rohit said Pandya has made a brilliant comeback and that he is a lot calmer and confident about how he wants to do with the bat and ball.
“Since the time he (Hardik) has made his comeback, he’s been brilliant. When he was not part of the team, he figured what he needs to do to his body and his fitness regime, and now he is clocking 140+ easily,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
“His batting quality we all know and it’s been brilliant since his comeback. He is a lot calmer now and more confident about what he wants to do, whether it’s with the bat or with the ball,” he added.
Pakistan were asked to bat first and scored just 147 before getting bundled out. Bhuvneshwar Kumar scalped four wickets. India responded by two half-century partnerships, first between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and second, between Ravindra Jadeja and Pandya to help India chase down the target in a thriller. Pandya ended the match with a spectacular six.
