Gautam Gambhir‘s altercation with Virat Kohli is not a new thing. They two were involved in a war of words when Gambhir played for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). After over so many years, similar things occurred following the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday (May 1) at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.

Before jumping to a conclusion, it should be noted that the reason behind their recent ugly war or words is not known yet. The videos that emerged on social media, however, seem to tell a story. Kohli was talking with LSG opener Kyle Mayers, whether they were having a heated moment during the conversation is not known. But the duo was involved in serious conversation.

Gambhir looked angry when he jumped in and took Mayers away. The LSG mentor started going away when things turned extremely ugly. Kohli might have said something that enraged Gambhir who wouldn’t go back and started having a heated war of words with Kohli.

However, the Afghan player refused his skipper’s request and simply went ahead on the field. Kohli looked furious after seeing Naveen’s reactions. But before the handshake incident, during the 17th over of LSG’s innings, Kohli and Naveen started fighting over something, which they continued after the match also.
