Virat Kohli was featured in a special video released by Google, taking a clip of him and his teammates celebrating a century.

Virat Kohli is generally regarded as the face of cricket. His consistency and records prove how much of a brilliant cricketer he is and how loved he is across the globe. And it made perfect sense when Google revealed that Kohli was the most searched cricketer on Google for the past 25-years.
Google had celebrated 25 years since its inception and released a video regarding the most searched topics since 1998. When it came to sports, football was at the top while Cristiano Ronaldo being the most searched athlete. LeBron James, a basketball player, was the most searched MVP (most valuable player). Kohli featured as the most searched cricketer, with a video of him hitting Bhuvneshwar Kumar for a six and celebrating his century against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In 2023, the most trending cricketer was Rachin Ravindra, who stood 8th in all athletes. Shubman Gill was 2nd cricketer on the list, while being 9th in all athletes. Kohli reached peak interest when he scored his 50th ODI ton against New Zealand according to Google Trends. Before that the highest he had been trending was when he married actress Anushka Sharma.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary on 11th December. In recently released photos, Kohli and his wife were cutting a cake and as a gag, Kohli held up the knife up to his throat. In the celebration were Kohli’s former teammate, Zaheer Khan, and his wife Sagarika Ghosh were present. Sharma’s brother, Karnesh Sharma, was also there. Famous stand up comedian Abhishek Upamanyu also was at the party.
Kohli will travel to South Africa in a few days. The star batter was not in the ODI and T20 team as he requested a break along with Rohit Sharma. He will play in the 2-match Test series, which begins on 26th November.
