Former Indian cricketer Subramanian Badrinath shared a hilarious video on his Instagram on the rivalry between Haris Rauf and Virat Kohli after the arch-rivals’ match on Sunday [October 23] at the MCG in Melbourne. Kohli played a match-winning knock to guide India to a four-wicket victory.

Notably, Kohli could score just four runs against Rauf off the six balls he faced. But in the penultimate over, he smashed two spectacular back-to-back sixes to reduce the runs to 16 in the last over. The first of these two sixes off Rauf had shattered Babar Azam‘s hopes; it left everyone in awe and garnered praise from many even from the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Summarising the memorable match, Pakistan posted 159/8 in 20 overs owing to the two half-century knocks by Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed. Later, the Pakistani pacers broke India’s back by dismissing the top-order batters except for Kohli.

Virat Kohli had hammered an unbeaten 82 off 53 balls to guide India to a four-wicket win. Hardik Pandya’s innings was equally worth praising due to his all-round performance. He first scalped three wickets (Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, and Hyder Ali), then went on to play supporter when he stitched a match-winning 113-run partnership with Kohli with his 40-run knock off 37 balls.

Honestly, I was feeling a lot of pressure at that stage. But then when he came in and he hit a few boundaries, I kind of opened up. That partnership, we didn’t even realise when we got to our 100. We kept talking, we kept running hard and kept watching their body language. We knew it would turn at some stage, it turned quite late to be honest. We would have liked to do it earlier,” Kohli told Star Sports after the match.
