Virat Kohli’s heroics guide India to a memorable victory

Virat Kohli had hammered an unbeaten 82 off 53 balls to guide India to a four-wicket win. Hardik Pandya’s innings was equally worth praising due to his all-round performance. He first scalped three wickets (Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, and Hyder Ali), then went on to play supporter when he stitched a match-winning 113-run partnership with Kohli with his 40-run knock off 37 balls.
“Honestly, I was feeling a lot of pressure at that stage. But then when he came in and he hit a few boundaries, I kind of opened up. That partnership, we didn’t even realise when we got to our 100. We kept talking, we kept running hard and kept watching their body language. We knew it would turn at some stage, it turned quite late to be honest. We would have liked to do it earlier,” Kohli told Star Sports after the match.
