WATCH: Harmanpreet Kaur produces stunning diving one-handed catch to dismiss England’s Alice Capsey

In the first ODI between India and England on Sunday, September 18 at the County ground in Hove, India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur produced a stunning one-handed grab to dismiss England’s middle-order batter Alice Capsey.

This happended in the 18th over when Sneh Rana‘s full-pitched delivery made Capsey flick the ball that looked to be going for boundary. But Kaur, who was at short mid-wicket made a terrific dive to her right, grabbed it with her right hand to execute the catch and Capsey had to take a long walk back to the dressing room.

Talking about the match, India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur did the correct thing by choosing to bowl first as the track was a tacky one, so ball wasn’t always coming onto the bat.

Alice Davidson-Richard scored and unbeaten 50 runs off 61 balls while Sophie Ecclestone played a knock of 50 runs off 43 balls. Also, Dani Wyatt scored 43 runs off 50 balls, helping England post 227 by losing seven wickets in their allotted 50 overs.

Notably, the legendary Jhulan Goswami is also playing the final series of her career. In this match, she gave away 20 runs in her 10 overs with 42 dot balls. She also didn’t give a boundary or six.
