After this intra-squad Test, Pakistan will tour Sri Lanka with an 18-member squad. There are only few changes from the team they toured to Australia. Agha Salman, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Naseem Shah have been included in the place of Zahid Mahmood and Sajid Khan.

The series will also witness the return of Yasir Shah, who had been with the Pakistan team when they defeated Sri Lanka in their 2015 series with his 24-wicket tally at an economy rate of 19.33.

Hasan Ali was named Pakistan’s best Test Player in 2021, but he could scalp only two wickets against Australia series earlier this year. But he retained his spot in the Test against Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has smashed another record of Virat Kohli by maintaining his top spot in T20Is. He has been at the top pf T20I ranking for the maximum period by surpassing Kohli’ record of 1013 days.
