Will Ishan Kishan be included in the ODI squad against England?
Ishan Kishan scored just eight runs off 10 balls in the first T20I against England. He was dropped from the squad. In his place, India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant opened the innings alongside Rohit Sharma.
Kishan has played several T20I innings for India but he got only three chances to play in the ODI. He made his debut in ODI matches against Sri Lanka last year and played another ODI against the same team. But he had wait for a long period of time for his third ODI.
Earlier this year, he was included in the team that locked-horns with West Indies for the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. He only played the first match and scored 28 runs off 36 balls. However, since then, he hasn’t been included in the playing XI.
Shikhar Dhawan opened the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma in the 1st ODI, it will be interesting to see if Kishan gets picked up in the playing XI for the 2nd ODI match that is set to start at 5:30 PM today, July 14.
