Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed fumed at a fan who called him ‘chachu’ (uncle) when the all-rounder was fielding near the boundary ropes. This happened during the second T20I between New Zealand and Pakistan in Hamilton on Sunday (January 14).
Ahmed’s teammates also call him ‘chachu’, a nickname given to him by former Pakistan captain Babar Azam. In the video that has been doing rounds on social media, a fan called him ‘chachu’ and said he was a big fan of the all-rounder.
Ahmed looked angry and ordered the fan to keep quiet. “Khamosh rahe, ch***ye (keep quiet),” Ahmed was heard telling this to the fan with a derogatory remark. However, Ahmed clicked a selfie with the same fan later.
