Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Mohammed Siraj was under the pump against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday as he was taken to the cleaners by the DC openers. David Warner and Philip Salt took the attack to Siraj as the right-arm pacer was handed the job to provide an early breakthrough like he has been doing in IPL 2023 so far. However, the move did not work as Siraj leaked 25 runs in the first two overs he bowled.

While the RCB pacer conceded 10 runs in his opening over, Siraj was taken to the cleaners by Philip Salt in his second over. The DC opener hit two sixes and a boundary on the first three deliveries. This tempted Siraj to bowl a bouncer on the next delivery but it was too high and was called wide. Meanwhile, Salt poked the RCB bowler by uttering a few words.

Siraj got all charged up and started cussing the DC opener. The RCB pacer kept hurling words at Salt while David Warner and the umpires tried to calm him down. However, things settled after Siraj beat Salt on the next delivery and Salt complemented the RCB bowler by saying “Well bowled”.

As expected, this on-field verbal spat attracted quite a few reactions from the fans. Most of them criticized Siraj for his unnecessary attitude.
