WATCH: MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina step out of the car in style into the historic Lord’s; video goes viral
MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina
Even though Indian fans were a little dissapointed when India lost second ODI agains England on Thursday, July 14, fans got to see something that delighted them a lot.
Former India captain MS Dhoni was seen enjoying the match with Suresh Raina. They are the two legends of the Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Their faithful CSK fans affectionately call Dhoni as ‘Thala’ while Raina is known as ‘Chinna Thala’.
Raina shared a couple of pictures on his social media handles where he could be seen standing shoulder to shoulder with Dhoni at Lord’s. The pictures have gone viral all over the internet. Another video surfaced online where Dhoni could be seen stepping out of the car with Raina to enter into the Lord’s.
CSK’s official Twitter handle shared the video with the caption: “The reunion of brothers!”

Thus ends the rumours of rift between MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina
Raina had played under Dhoni as a CSK player as well as when he donned the Indian jersey. As Dhoni is leader, Raina is considered as the right hand of the captain. Raina had played an instrumental role in CSK’s reaching most number of finals in IPL and lifting the trophy four times.
But in the recently-concluded IPL, fans were dissapointed to not see Raina in yellow jersey. In the IPL auction in February in Bengaluru, Raina went unsold, even CSK didn’t purchase him. This led to fans thinking of a possible rift must have happened between them. But when they saw their favourite people back together, they could ask for nothing else.
Needless to day, the reunion must have ended all the rumours of possible rift between the players. Since India lost the second match, to level the three match series 1-1, they will be hoping for India’s win in the decisive third ODI which will be played in Manchester on Sunday.
