Needless to say, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni is loved, admired, and respected almost everywhere in India. And the rumor of this Indian Premier League (IPL) season being his last one has fuelled this. On several occasions, an opposite teams’ home grounds have been turned into a sea of yellow.

And when Dhoni and Co. reached Delhi for their last league match against Delhi Capitals (DC), one can possibly guess how the fans had gone crazy. Ahead of Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’ match against DC at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, fans thronged the streets and clustered around the team bus like honeybees just to get a glimpse of the Captain Cool, resulting in a massive traffic jam.

Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni took to her Instagram to share the video where the team bus, with some difficulty, could make its way to the stadium. “Greetings from Delhi,” wrote Sakshi.

After winning the toss, MS Dhoni chose to bat first. The reason behind this decision is the pitch which can slow down as the match progresses.

We will bat. We have been trying to win games right from the first game. We are playing the same XI, it is a balanced eleven and we do not need to make many changes,” Dhoni said after winning the toss.

Meanwhile, Delhi are playing their last league match as they are already knocked out of the tournament after registering five wins, eight defeats from 13 matches, with 10 points. But for the CSK, this match is crucial as winning will provide them with two points, helping them to become the second team to qualify for playoffs. They are currently second on the points table with seven wins, five losses, and one no-result from 13 matches, with 15 points.
