Ravindra Jadeja celebrated CSK win in IPL 2023 Final

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not go home empty-handed. Ravindra Jadeja will not let him. The CSK all-rounder ensured his Captain Cool does not end his IPL career in dismay. With four required off the last ball, Jadeja hit a boundary in the fine leg region to send CSK fans into jubilation. While the whole CSK dugout broke into celebration as soon as the winning runs came their way, MS Dhoni caught the attention of the fans with his reaction. 

Dhoni who is known to not show emotions, once again sat idle at his seat but it was not confidence radiating out of him this time. The CSK skipper took a sigh of relief and probably told himself that ‘okay, it’s time’. Dhoni sat with his eyes closed like a monk, absorbing the special moment. He then got up and joined his teammates in completing the post-match celebration. 

Fans were quick to react to Dhoni’s unique celebration after winning the game.

MS Dhoni celebrates later!

The CSK captain then celebrated the win vividly as Dhoni lifted Jadeja in his arms. The two individuals looked animated post CSK’s win. Jadeja also dedicated the win to MS Dhoni. “Want to dedicate this win to one of the special members of our team – MS Dhoni,” said Jadeja at the post-match presentation.

Coming to the game, after multiple halts, CSK were given a target of 171 runs which they had to chase in 15 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway got CSK off to a flier, stitching a 74-run partnership. After the two were dismissed, Ajinkya Rahane took the onus on himself scoring a 13-ball 27. Ambati Rayudu, playing his last-ever IPL game also chipped in with an 8-ball 19. Shivam Dube, meanwhile, was struggling but eventually calmed his nerves and finished with a 21-ball 32*. Meanwhile, Jadeja finished things off with his 6-ball 15*.
