Since their landing in India after seven years, news about how the Pakistani players received a warm welcome from India and how they acknowledged the same has been making headlines. This was expected given that the two countries have been long-standing rivals in cricket and other areas and the team coming to India is indeed huge news.

Among the many videos of Pakistan players enjoying the hospitality from India, their relishing the world-famous Hyderabadi biryani and other cuisines have now started doing rounds on the internet. The X handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video of the players enjoying a lavish dinner at ‘Jewel of Nizam’ in Hyderabad.

After enjoying the dinner, the players clicked selfies with the Indian fans. The video was uploaded by PCB’s X handle after Pakistan’s five-wicket loss to New Zealand in their first warm-up match.

Mohammad Rizwan is all praise for Indian fans

In the warm-up match against New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistan opted to bat first after winning the toss. Mohammad Rizwan top-scored before getting retired hurt.

Rizwan scored a 94-ball 103 runs with nine boundaries and two sixes. However, his century knock went in vain as the Kiwis with half-centuries from four batters easily chased the target to emerge victorious by five wickets.

Rizwan, after his ton, spoke about the special treatment he and his fellow teammates received in India and drew similarities with that of the fans’ craze in Pakistan. Before the warm-up match, he even posted on Instagram about the warm welcome of the team at the airport.

“A hundred is a hundred, proud and happy of it. Scoring a century for Pakistan is always special. The Indian crowd gave us a lot of love at the airport itself, just like how our fans love us back in Pakistan. We were welcomed in India in a great way,” Rizwan said during the mid-innings.
