Recently, former Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal appeared in a show along with a Pakistani actress. During that show, the host asked the actress about her opinions on cricketers. And though it was a live television show, the actress ended up calling the cricketers “perverts.”

The host of the show asked: “Jyadatar cricketers___hote hain (Most of the cricketers are __).” And though the actress was hesitant at first, Akmal encouraged her to speak her mind.

The actress then filled in the blank by simply saying that cricketers are, “tharki“, a word in Hindi/Urdu that means someone who is a pervert. It seemed the answer left Akmal embarrassed as he bore a sheepish smile on his face.

Kamran Akmal lauded the BCCI for taking strict action against players in the Ranji Trophy

A few days ago, the BCCI announced the list of players who were retained in the central contracts. And as it was guessed before, they left out Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. The BCCI even declared the reason why these two players missed out on the central contract list.

That’s due to their non-participation in the Ranji Trophy. BCCI wants the Indian players to focus on domestic cricket, especially the Ranji Trophy. Kamran Akmal lauded the decision of the Indian board, saying BCCI has done the right thing in taking strict action.

India have given a message to their players to ensure that nobody even thinks of doing something like this the next time. This is proof of good management. Nobody is bigger than the game.
Akmal said on his YouTube channel

After the conclusion of the fifth Test between India and England, BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced an incentive scheme to reward the players who play Test cricket regularly.
