Ahead of the fifth Ashes Test, England Test skipper Ben Stokes appeared for the customary pre-match press conference on Wednesday (July 26). He could be seen sitting there with a solemn look on his face when suddenly the music of the ‘Barbie Girl’ started playing.

Confusion was written all over Stokes’ face when the song started playing. He looked up only to find England speedster Mark Wood playing the ‘Barbie Girl’ song on his phone, leading to a burst of laughter from everyone present there.

Australia have retained the Ashes urn after leading the five-match Test series 2-1. They won the first two Tests but England saved themselves from a humiliating defeat when they beat Pat Cummins and Co. in the third Test.

In the fourth Test, England’s Bazball failed to save them from rain. They were on the cusp of an inevitable victory to tie the Ashes and push it to the decider but rain halted the game on Day 5. Australia have drawn the fourth Test and retained the Ashes urn.

Australia will need to win the fifth Ashes Test to secure their series’ first win in England since 2001. If the match ends in a draw, Australia will take home the Ashes. If England wins, the match will tie 2-2. The fifth Ashes will start on Thursday (July 27) at The Oval, London.

After rain played the spoilsport on Day 5 in the fourth Ashes, Ben Stokes said how it was such a heartbreaking moment for them, especially after terrific three days of batting. “It is a tough one to take, playing the cricket we did over the first three days, but it is all part of the journey. We knew what we needed to do and that played into our hands,” Stokes had said after the defeat.
