Men in Blue have arrived in Australia to take part in the most-awaited ICC T20 World Cup 2022. After landing in Perth, Team India members started their training for the big event. Interestingly, the first T20I between Australia and England also took place in Perth and India’s four members- Ravichandran Ashwin, Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Dinesh Karthik went to the Optus Stadium in Perth to watch the clash.

R Ashwin took to his Instagram and shared two stories. One was a short video of the field, while the other was the picture of the four players. See the pictures below:

Australia vs England match re-cap

Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first, English openers Alex Hales and Jos Buttler started their innings on a quick note. While Buttler smacked 12 eight fours and four sixes to score 68 runs off 32 balls, Hales’s produced 84 runs off 51 balls with 12 fours and three sixes. Other batters failed to add much but England’s score still reached 208/6 in 20 overs.

Aussie’s David Warner scored 73 runs off 44 balls, while Mitchell Marsh scored 36 runs off 26 balls. Matthew Wade would have taken Australia to a win but Sam Curran dismissed him on the third ball of the last over and Australia suffered an eight-run loss.

Apart from the match, another incident has hogged the limelight. Matthew Wade, to save himself from a catch out, obstruct Mark Wood’s fielding, creating controvery in the cricket fraternity. Wade top-edged Wood’s short delivery and it ballooned into the air. In an effort to catch the ball, Wood was running towards the batter but Wade stuck out his arms to stop him and to get back to his crease.
