During the match between fierce rivals India and Pakistan, the song ‘Ram Siya Ram‘ was heard at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka on Saturday (September 2) in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Fans expressed their amusement after hearing the song which was being played every now and then the moment after Indian batters smashed boundary runs.

Fans heard the song after Ishan Kishan smashed a boundary from Salman Agha’s delivery. The song was also being played after Hardik Pandya smashed a six off Mohammad Nawaz.

After the Pakistani pacers wreaked havoc by sending the top batters to packing, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya steadied the ship and commanded India to a comfortable position in the middle overs. Pakistani spinners had no answer in front of Kishan and Pandya, who scored 82 and 87 respectively, and also stitched a 138-run stand. India’s wickets again started falling after Pakistan skipper Babar Azam brought back the pace attack.

Meanwhile, India reached 266 in 48.5 overs. Shaheen Shah Afridi was the most impressive bowler from Pakistan’s pace attack as he conceded 35 runs in his 10 overs with two maiden overs and four wickets at an economy rate of 3.5.
